Flash Movie Review: Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont
Such a sweet and touching movie, I really enjoyed watching this one. An elderly woman moves to a retirement hotel to be closer to her grandson. With the grandson’s lack of enthusiasm, Mrs. Palfrey meets a young man and they strike up an interesting relationship.

You are a creative genius!
I have come to really respect Joan Plowright. I don’t think she got as much attention as she deserved here in the US. Soon all of the classical trained actors of the 50’s and 60’s will be gone. I remember saying the same about actors from earlier days.
You are absolutely correct; Joan was wonderful to watch in a film. Thank you for stopping by to leave your comments.
She’s been excellent in everything I have seen her in, of course being married to Olivier might have helped her develop her talent.
